If you love boho beach vibes, epic surf, and trendy cafe's, Canggu is the place to be. Located on Bali's southwest coast, this once-sleepy village has transformed into a hipster-meets-surfer haven, filled with beach clubs, rice fields, street art, and some of the best coffee on the island. It's a spot where you can surf in the morning, chill in a cafe by afternoon, and party at a beachfront bar by night, all without losing that relaxed Bali energy. Why You'll Love Canggu? Surf Culture: Canggu has waves for every level, from beginner-friendly Batu Bolong Beach to the more advanced Echo Beach. If you've ever wanted to learn how to surf, this is the place to do it! ? Cafe Heaven: Canggu's food scene is next level. Think smoothie bowls, avo toast, epic coffee, and plant-based everything. Some must-visit spots include Crate Cafe, The Shady Shack, and Milk & Madu. Beach Clubs & Sunsets: End your day with a drink in hand at La Brisa, The Lawn, or Finns Beach Club, all offering killer sunset views over the ocean. Street Art & Cool Vibes: Unlike Ubud's jungle aesthetic, Canggu has a more urban, artsy feel, with colorful murals, boutique shops, and a laid-back but stylish crowd.

Tips for Visiting

  • Getting Around? Rent a Scooter: Traffic can be rough, and a scooter is the fastest way to navigate Canggu's maze of small roads. If you're not comfortable riding, GoJek (Bali's Uber) is your best bet.

  • Expect Crowds at Peak Hours: Canggu is no longer a hidden gem. Cafes, beach clubs, and the main streets can get packed, especially around sunset and weekends.

  • Try a Surf Lesson: Whether you're a total beginner or looking to improve, there are tons of great surf schools here. Batu Bolong Beach is one of the best places to start.

  • Head North for Fewer Crowds: If Canggu feels too busy, explore Pererenan or Seseh Beach, same vibe, fewer people.

  • Be Ready for the Digital Nomad Scene: If you're traveling solo, Canggu is one of the best places to meet fellow travelers, especially at co-working spaces like Dojo or Tribal Cafe.
