A 1.2 km paved walking track follows the stream, leading to the main waterfall at the end.

Tips for Visiting

  • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon for fewer crowds and softer lighting.

  • Wear Water Shoes: The rocks can be slippery and uneven, so water shoes will help with grip.

  • Bring a Towel & Change of Clothes: There are no changing facilities, so come prepared.

  • Check for Swimming Conditions: Water levels vary depending on rainfall, be cautious of strong currents after heavy rain.

  • Pack a Picnic: There are picnic areas nearby, making it a great spot for a relaxing meal in nature.

  • Respect the Environment: No littering, keep the area pristine for future visitors!

  • No Cliff Jumping: While tempting, jumping from cliffs is dangerous and strongly discouraged.

  • Crystal Cascades is a must-visit natural escape near Cairns, offering refreshing waterfalls, scenic rainforest walks, and a peaceful retreat from the city!
