Unearth Bendigo's Golden Heritage. Located in Bendigo, Victoria, the Central Deborah Gold Mine offers a captivating glimpse into Australia's gold rush era. Operational from 1939 to 1954, the mine produced approximately 929 kilograms of gold, equivalent to about $85 million today. Visitors can explore its rich history through guided underground tours and surface exhibits. What to Expect: Underground Tours: Descend 61 meters beneath the surface on the Mine Experience Tour, where expert guides share insights into the miners' daily lives and the mine's operations. Surface Attractions: The site features original buildings and equipment essential to the mine's function, including a towering 22-meter poppet head. Visitors can also try their hand at gold panning and view a replica of the renowned "Hand of Faith" gold nugget.

Operating Hours: Open daily from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, excluding Christmas and Boxing Day.
