Tips for Visiting

  • Dress Modestly: A sarong and sash are required to enter the temple. You can rent them at the entrance if you don't have your own.

  • Join the Purification Ritual the Right Way: If you want to bathe in the holy springs, start at the first fountain and follow the proper sequence, locals are usually happy to guide you.

  • Bring a Change of Clothes: If you're doing the purification, you will get wet, so bring a spare outfit and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

  • Visit Early to Avoid Crowds: The temple gets very busy by midday with both locals and tourists, so arrive before 9 AM for a peaceful experience.

  • Respect the Sacred Site: This is a place of worship, so stay quiet, be respectful, and don't enter areas reserved for prayer unless invited.

  • Entry Fee: Expect to pay around 50,000 IDR (~$3.50 USD) per person for entry, plus a small donation if participating in the purification ritual.
