If you want to see all of Tokyo from above, Tokyo Skytree is the ultimate spot. Standing at 634 meters (2,080 feet), it's the tallest structure in Japan and one of the tallest towers in the world. Whether you're watching the sunset, admiring the city lights, or even spotting Mount Fuji on a clear day, Skytree's observatories offer a breathtaking experience. Plus, with shopping, dining, and entertainment inside Tokyo Solamachi, there's plenty to do before and after taking in the view! Why Visit Tokyo Skytree? The Highest Viewpoint in Tokyo: From the Tembo Deck (350m) and Tembo Galleria (450m), you can see all of Tokyo, Tokyo Bay, and even Mount Fuji on clear days! Incredible Night Views: At night, the city lights stretch endlessly, making this one of the best nighttime observatories in Japan. Glass Floors for a Thrill: On the lower deck, there's a glass floor section where you can look straight down from 350 meters up! Tokyo Solamachi Shopping & Dining: The base of Skytree is home to Solamachi Mall, packed with over 300 shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. Sumida Aquarium & Planetarium: If you have time, check out the beautiful Sumida Aquarium or relax in the Manten Planetarium inside Solamachi. Perfect Photo Spot: Whether from below looking up at the tower or from the top looking over the city, this is one of Tokyo's most Instagram-worthy places.

Tips for Visiting

  • Best Time to Go? Sunset for the most stunning views, or nighttime for city lights. Mornings have fewer crowds and better chances of seeing Mount Fuji.

  • How to Get There: Take the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line to Oshiage Station, or Tobu Skytree Line to Tokyo Skytree Station.

  • Book Tickets in Advance: Skytree is popular, so it's best to reserve online to avoid long waits.

  • Which Observatory to Choose: Tembo Deck (350m) Great views, glass floors, and a restaurant. Tembo Galleria (450m) A higher, more thrilling experience with a spiraling walkway!

  • Visit Nearby Asakusa: Since Skytree is close to Asakusa, you can combine your trip with a visit to Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street.

  • Go on a Clear Day: The better the weather, the farther you'll see, including Mount Fuji if you're lucky!
